Event Resources

We are so incredibly grateful for each person that has taken the time to coordinate a local event in support of Sew Powerful. We’ve been blown away that events are happening all over the world and the truth is – we haven’t had any resources, recommendations, or tools to assist. You’ve pioneered it – and made up the tools and resources that you needed to be successful – and that is – of course – Sew Powerful! On this page, over the next few years, we hope to assemble these types of resources and make them available for you. If you’ve done a Sew Powerful event, and created a helpful resource that you don’t see on this page, be sure to let us know and we’ll add it.

Okay friends, this is where we can use your help. If you have resources for events that you’ve done, be sure to let us know so we can share them.

#4 – Letter Of Thanks: If you’d like Jason & Cinnamon to write a formal thank you letter to your group, please contact us. This can serve as a nice post-event follow-up for your participants.

#5 – Hashtag: Be sure to use our hashtags so we can discover, share, and acknowledge your hard work. #sewpowerful, #sewpowerfulpurse, #sewpowerfulpurseproject.

#6 – Event Flyer: Use our simple 8.5X11 Event Flyer to advertise your event on your bulletin board, or (shrink it down) and use it as a bulletin insert.

#7 – The Crowdrise Fundraising Tool: Did you know you can create your own fundraiser for Sew Powerful quickly and easily? Use the Crowdrise tool to join our team – and create your own personal compaign in support of Sew Powerful.

#8 – A Bulletin Insert Ready For Your Use: Here is a nice bulletin insert based on the Event Flyer. There is space to add your information. Here is a PDF Version and an MSWord Version.

#9 – Sew Powerful Streamlined Sewing Plan: Here is a step-by-step sewing plan that offers an alternate order of steps for making the Sew Powerful purse using the “Strip Piecing” methodology.
