You're invited to the 2026 Sew Powerful retreat at beautiful Zephyr Point, Lake Tahoe, Nevada! August 14-17, 2026.

Together we will sew beautiful items in support of the Sew Powerful mission, have fun, and learn more about the ministry.

There will be tons of sewing time, plus opportunities to learn new techniques and share tips and tricks.

Non-Sewists Track: We have a fun activity track planned for non-sewists this year - Your non-sewist friends & loved ones will be fully included in everything but the sewing. Or they can fish the whole time if they'd prefer. No pressure. No stress. Just a beautiful weekend of fun.

Our Meeting Room, Dobbins Hall, accomodates up to 40 sewists.

Join Us At This Historic Property

Zephyr Point Conference Center is located at Zephyr Cove, in the Southern Eastern area of Lake Tahoe. The property does a terrific job blending the old with the new - with beautiful lodging and dining facilities as well as unforgetable meeting spaces.

Meeting Space: We will be meeting in Dobbins Hall.

Lodging Location: Our group will lodge and dine in the Tahoe Center. Rooms are designed to accommodate 2 guests, but attendees who would like a private room can also select that option. ADA accommodations are also available.

Getting To Zephyr Point: Conveniently located one hour from the Reno Airport and 2 hours from the Sacramento airport. As the event gets closer we'll help with transportion options. It is recommended to fly into Reno.

When: August 14-17. Check-in begins at 3PM, sewing can begin at 4PM.

Where: Zephyr Point Christian Conference Center, Lake Tahoe Nevada (east side of the lake).

Cost: $650 per person, which includes food and lodging.

Note About Enrollment: As of 12/8/25 we already have 20 sewists enrolled. Our venue, Dobbins Hall, can accommodate up to a maximum of 40 sewists. So, we'd encourage you to reserve your spot today with a $100 deposit.

Non-Sewing Participants: We are more flexible with non-sewing participants. We have ten reserved spots and more can be added as needed.
