About the Host: Jan Cancila has been making purses for Sew Powerful since 2014. She serves the organization as Director, Global Volunteerism, the Area Manager for Shows and Events-Mid/South USA and as the Houston Regional Coordinator. She was a public speaking major at Hanover College and holds an MBA from Our Lady of the Lake University. Jan had a 25-year career with The Coca-Cola Company before owning and operating a linen and party rental business in Houston. She is married with two grown sons, a lovely daughter in law and two remarkable granddaughters. Jan’s published work includes more than 100 online articles for Examiner.com. About the Host: Dana Buck is the author of the book Sew Powerful Parables - Stories of Rhyme, Reason and God’s Truth. Dana is a Sew Powerful Board member and active Sew Powerful volunteer. Retiring in 2018 after a 38-year career with the Christian non-profit organization, World Vision, Dana now devotes himself primarily to his three loves – his wife, Grace, writing and Sew Powerful. Dana and Grace live in Renton, Washington. They have two grown children, Jared and Alyssa, and a son-in-law, Ivan.
