How Is Our Overhead Rate 3.9%?

We are an all volunteer organization (except for our program staff in Zambia). In the west, we participate as an act of sacrificial service. We hold the conviction that charity should involve selfless dedication. By forgoing any administrative pay, we ensure our programs in Zambia are carried out with maximum financial impact. Our overhead rate during the most recent year was just 3.9%.

Our Core Programs:

Women's Empowerment: The Sew Powerful Vocational Sewing Program is designed to train and then employ women in Zambia to make a difference in their community. Ten reasons we love Women's Empowerment.

Girls Empowerment: The Sew Powerful Purse Program isn't just education - it's true empowerment. We unlock 6 weeks of school per girl, on average, and fuel their academic success. See how our Girls Empowerment Program works here.

School Feeding Initiative: In partnership with Convoy Of Hope and through our 3 Esthers Farm and Tikondane Gardens Program, we feed over 5,500 children daily - and provide food to the most needy in Lusaka. Learn more here.
