Central Alabama is noted for its small-town charm and friendly residents. Dadeville is home to The Eclectic Bag Ladies, a Sew Powerful Chapter that epitomizes the allure and gregarious nature of this area. Located near beautiful Lake Martin, local residents and visitors enjoy boating, sailing, fishing, and water sports on the lake. Plan to be at the lake for the 4 th of July fireworks spectacular and boat parade. Nearby Santuck is known for its monthly miles-long craft day where one can browse, listen to live music, and enjoy specialty foods at the event. The area is a haven for retirees who enjoy the great weather, many activities, and friendly neighbors.
When the The Eclectic Bag Ladies are not at the lake, visiting craft fairs, or welcoming newcomers, you will find them gathered in support of Sew Powerful. The group showcases an eclectic array of talents including sewing, card-making, and being prayer warriors. The Chapter makes purses, writes inspiring note cards and prays for the girls who will receive their creations. Special thanks to the Opelika Sewing Center for their generous donation of fabric. If you live in the Lake Martin, Eclectic, Dadeville, Santuck, or anywhere in the Tallapoosa County area, you are welcome to join this active and cordial group.
