Help Us Support Flood Victims In Zambia

Cyclone Freddy is devastating Zambia and desperate households need urgent assistance.

Tropical Cyclone Freddy

Historic flooding has impacted Zambia in the last week, unlike anything seen in over 50 years. An estimated 400,000 people have already been impacted by the torrential rainfall. And now, Tropical Cyclone Freddy is doing massive damage. It has already been categorized as strong as a Category 5 Atlantic Hurricane.

Desperate Households Need Urgent Assistance

This video was shot in front of a Ngombe Compound household that has ten residents including one disabled child prior to Freddy hitting land.

Help Us Raise Funds

With your help, we are serving the poorest of the poor in Ngombe Compound with water, soap, and food parcels. Our Caregiver Team is ready to serve as many as 1,500 households, if we are able to raise the funds.

For as little as $100, you can provide a family of 10 with emergency food and water. For just $200, you can support two caregivers for a month as they serve hundreds of people.

Please Pray For Our Team In Ngombe

We know that the aftermath of this tragic event will be large outbreak of Cholera, Dysentery, and Typhoid, which will lead to large scale suffering and death. Providing clean water to the children and vulnerable households is a key to their safety.

We would appreciate your prayers for our team in Ngombe. They are all individually impacted, and yet, passionate about serving their community. With your support we can raise to the occasion and love like Jesus in a desperate situation. Do us a huge favor and share the link to this page with your friends, family, and faith community.

More About Sew Powerful

Since 2009 we’ve been serving in Ngombe Compound, one of the poorest communities in Lusaka. Our team of 96 people provide hope and healing in Jesus’ name.
